I'd love for you to join Clancy, Mia and myself as we take The Hunt to Montauk on Saturday July 26. The party will take place at the brand new and buzzed about Surf Lodge Montauk, and on the beach right down the road of course.

* Passenger van departs NYC early Saturday morning.
* Afternoon - sun, sand, surf.
* Sunset - Clam Bake with HIFI Dj's
* Evening - Dance, drink and flirt on the Surf Lodge Deck overlooking the lake with Mia and Myself, The Hunt DJ's, spinning jams.
* After Hours - anything goes....
* Sunday - sun, surf, sand all day!
* Passenger van departs for NYC early evening. Get back int the city around 10pm.

If you are interested in attending, please let me know ASAP, as space is limited. I will have a list of lodging as well, and I highly suggest finding a group and booking a room together...i suspect we won't do a whole lot of sleeping anyways.

To the beach!

OK kiddos, here are a few remixes of everyone and their soccer mom's new favorite band, MGMT. I'll assume you already have the originals. If not, ask your little brother's new girlfriend. She'll have it. So here are the remixes, in no particular order...

MGMT - Electric Feel (Justice Remix)

MGMT - Electric Feel (Leif Edit)

MGMT - Time to Pretend (Tronik Youth Shr Edit Remix)

MGMT - Time to Pretend (Jorge Elbrect of Violens Remix)

Throwing parties is better than staring at a computer screen, that's for sure. So come out to this one, and The Hunt on Thursday's at The Randolph.

California Soul

For me its home sweet home, so I could not be happier to push this track and remix into all of your lives. So pass the lemonade and allow me to wash down my cheeseburger. Summer in NY with some Californai Soul! Golden!

Marlena Shaw - California Soul (Original)

Marlena Shaw - California Soul (Diplo Rmx)

"Rock 'n' roll is an attitude, yes, but it's one that must be matched with certain things: Debauchery, frankly, is a must."

"Rock 'n' roll has been replaced by a number of idioms: post-rock, house, hip-hop, emo, electronica, experimental, jam bands, synth pop, freak-folk, nouveau synth pop, regular ol' pop and countless others."

I posted a Ghosthustler track at the end of my last post, 'Promotional Material." I then realized that since I play at least one of their tracks EVERY time I spin, that these guys from Denton, TX (where is Denton???) deserve more, and you deserve more from them. However, their myspace page says the lead man has split the band. Too bad, I was looking forward to more from these guys.

In any case, here are two tracks. Now dance!

It's my party and I'll cry if i want to.
Come hear/see/feel me and other special love birds play saucy, dirty, dancy pop music every Thursday night. And stay tuned for summer news about The Hunt: Montauk. Yes oh yes oh yes.

And here's a song to put on your ipod.

Maybe everyone feels like I do as we drift off into summer. Spacedisco sure had its time this winter, when kids in skinny jeans, and nike trainers went to the basement levels of their favorite clubs and sorta danced, but now that the heat is on, and basements lose out to rooftops and road-trips every time, Splashdisco has rightly taken over. So go get wet to these two examples below, available for download and upload and unload by clicking the links below and then clicking the "download now' button above the playbox. Enjoy lovers!

Moxie - Run Disco Run

Air France - June Evenings

Here's a lil' splash-disco to keep you and her and him dripping all summer. From the French electro-pop-disco-lovers Discodeine, their newest effort, Joystick.
