TWISTED WIRES (and Twista)

Not a new one, but so damn good I had to post it again.  Here's the back story...

While listening to Twin Shadow's new album in my iTunes, guess what popped on next...
First, Twista's 'Creep Fast ft. T-Pain'.  I'll take it.  Followed next by Twisted Wires, a song I have not played in far too long.  Until now.  The beauty of an alphabetical playlist starting with the letters T-W-I...

Here's the Twisted Wires track, and to re-create my special moment, here's the Twista track as well.  Ha, alright alright...

Twisted Wires - One Night At the Raw Deal
Twista - Creep Fast (ft. T-Pain)

PS - I hope you all like the new layout!  I'm happy with it.

Casa del Mirto

Some say Italian's Do It Better.  Although Casa del Mitro is not on Mike Simonetti's fabulous disco label, the Italian producer/DJ's sound is catchy, cool and perfect for tonight's darkest urban haunts.  Or the pool.  All good music works poolside, right?  But it's November, so that'll have to wait, unless your Down Under or in LA.  Anyway, have a peek...

Kavinsky v. Breakbot

Yes! I am feeling this track, and was happy to play it last night. Thank you Mr. Walker for passing it my way, and for sticking it out last night at Erase All Texts from start to finish. And thank you Lucas Walters for visiting us last night behind the decks. Rad times...

Kavinsky's new track "Nightcall", mixed by SebastiaN, produced by Daft Punk’s Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and featuring CSS’s Lovefoxx, is a bit toned down from what we're used to hearing from the Frenchman. However, I'm a fan of the slow down, and especially a fan of this song. Breakbot, who has remixed Sebastian Tellier, PNAU and AIR, among others, took the original and added his own touch. We're left with one hell of a summer disco pop track...add this to your "on repeat."

Kavinsky - Nightcall (Breakbot Remix)

Here's another remix by Breakbot, this time of Sebastian Tellier. The dude always turns water into wine, or rather, wine into brandy ... since the originals are intoxicating to begin with.

Vietcong Disco

Some new sounds being made and played in those dimly lit lofts out in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Along the lines of DFA and Rong Records, the Vietcong Disco (Eddie Mars and Malcolm LaSalle) is, "bringing you never before heard disco tracks, from better decades past, when war and torment were shortlisted by dance-culture, sexuality and flashy good looks."

Midnight Star - Close Encounter (Eddie Mars Edit)

BlackDisco

Although, this track is pretty F-ing live. And F-ing pretty too.
