Natalie Portman's Shaved Head

What to make of a band with a name as odd, silly and well, unique, as Natalie Portman's Shaved Head? If you don't believe me that that is their name, check out their myspace page. So, in all fairness, disregard the band name for one second and give their song 'Me +Yr Daughter' a listen. I happen to like it quite a bit.

Right On Target

Another track I just grabbed from American Athlete (see post below). This track by Paul Parker was produced in San Francisco in the early 1980's just like me. I was born in July '82 at Kaiser Hospital on Geary & Divisadero, just a few blocks away from where this track was being played in the disco's off Castro. Apparently 'Right On Target' became an instant hit amongst the gay community in SF. I hope to make it a hit once again for downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn party kids, who one way or another, always seem to follow in the footsteps of early 80's San Francisco gays.

Tommy Seebach

Tommy Seebach who? I had never heard of Mr. Seebach either until I stumbled across his 1979 disco track Bubble Sex on American Athelete's site (a gem for sleazy disco jams from the late 70's and early 80's). I am not really sure how to best describe Bubble Sex, except by saying it makes for a sexy, bubbly time! I mean, c'mon, look at the guy!

Check it out and put it on your ipod. Your morning commute just got better.
